Many people and parents of children find themselves numb after the doctor tells them that a food allergy has been identified. It is always helpful to have someone to talk to, to help gain perspective at this point. With information and finding out that you are not alone, the numb feeling is replaced with a protective, ‘can do’ attitude. The best way to obtain information is to find someone who has ‘been there’.
