Buffalo Daycare Incident Cleared-up
Buffalo Police say an incident at a Buffalo daycare center which was originally thought to be suspicious was apparently just miscommunication. Authorities had asked for the public's help in locating a woman who entered the Kids Haven Daycare facility on December 19th saying she was there to pick up her grandchild. The grandmother, Ms. Kris Nelson was asked for identification by an employee. While she was outside, she spoke with another employee who told her that the child's mother had already picked her up. Ms. Nelson then left, and did not go back inside, which made the other employee suspicious. The matter was apparently further complicated when the employee at the desk misstated that the grandmother had asked for a different child by name. The mother of the child in question cleared up the matter with police officials after media coverage last week.
