The City of Buffalo is pleased to announce the WaveRider Wireless High Speed Internet modem. The modem operates by way of non-licensed band radio waves. It is non-line of site and can go through trees, windows, and walls. The WaveRider wireless modem operates at raw data rates of up to 2.75 Mbps and access speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps. The optimum access speed depends upon your class of service. The modem connects to your computer through a standard NIC (network interface card).
