1/29/04
Wright Countys community website, WrightSpot.com, was the recipient of a 2003-2004 Golden Web Award for its outstanding local information offering online. The Golden Web Award is presented by The International Association of Web Masters and Designers (www.iawmd.com) to those sites whose design, content and originality have achieved levels of excellence.
WrightSpot.com is a locally focused website for Wright County that offers daily news, high school sports, free classifieds, real estate, a community calendar, business listings and more to area residents. The site was launched in August of 2003 by Intrcomm Technology in Delano and has since provided information to over 17,000 users. Its great to see our efforts recognized by professionals in our industry said Intrcomms Aaron Weiche. We definitely share this award with the people, organizations and businesses that have helped contribute to the content and growth of the site. Weiche cited strong relationships with The Maple Lake Messenger, The Herald-Journal, KRWC radio, local governments, Monticello Chamber, Buffalo Chamber, Maple Lake Chamber and the Delano Chamber of Commerce along with over 50 local businesses.
WrightSpot.com will be announcing their own Community Partner Awards for 2003 in February for those who have significantly contributed to this unique community website. Intrcomm President Ben Moonen stated Recognizing the vision and efforts of many area organizations and businesses is needed to keep this project growing and offering more to the community. Strong cores of people are pitching in to our whole communities benefit. I hope that this type of awareness will help us expand our offering.
