St. Paul Saints to play exhibition game at Delano's Municipal Stadium

The St. Paul Saints are coming to Delano Municipal Baseball Park on Saturday, May 11th, to play a 2 p.m. game. The Saints will face off against the North Star League All Stars. A collection of town team players from around the area, you can view the full roster here. There will be a pregame Home Run Derby along with fun between inning entertainment associated with the Saints! All proceeds will go directly back into ongoing Delano ballpark improvements. Advanced tickets are $7.00 and $8.00 at the gate. Checks should be made out to the Delano Athletic Club. Tickets are available at these locations in Delano: Delano City Hall, the State Bank of Delano, Crow River Bank, Coborn's, All Seasons Sports, Jaunich Tire, and from any Delano Athletic Club member.

Pinewood Elementary volunteers keep students safe

Holly Kunkel and a group of dedicated Pinewood volunteers wanted to do their part to keep Pinewood Elementary safe.
So for six years now, this small coalition of volunteers has been waiting at the front doors of the school, ready to greet visitors and ensure people coming in have a reason to be there, know where to go and have proper background checks to come in when necessary.

Crisis Nursery to hold 15th Annual Spring Fundraiser Friday, April 26th.

The Crisis Nursery Serving Wright County will be hosting their 15th annual Spring fundraiser on Friday, April 26^th at the Buffalo Civic Center. Evening inlcudes BBQ buffet and music (6-7:30pm), silent auction (6-8pm), and a live auction (7:15-10pm). Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. They are available at BJ's Deli in Buffalo, the Crisis Nursery Office in Monticello, Advisory Commitee members, or by calling 763-271-1674 or 763-271-1674. The Knapp Busy Bees 4-H Club is hosting an "Explore 4-H Open House" for all families interested in learning more about Wright County 4-H. The event is Saturday, April 13 at the Cokato City Hall Community Room from 10am-1pm. Families are welcome to stop in at their convenience and check it out.
